Since Livermore Municipal Water was founded in 1963, it has purchased 100% of its treated water supply from Zone 7 Water Agency. Livermore Municipal Water is responsible for making sure this water is delivered safely and cost-effectively to all homes and businesses within its service area.
The water supplied by Livermore Municipal Water meets or exceeds all federal and state drinking water regulations. Zone 7 Water Agency and Livermore Municipal Water are required to closely monitor all water supplies and provide the results to customers in Annual Water Quality Reports.

Livermore Municipal Water receives its wholesale water supply from Zone 7 Water Agency, which treats water from the State Water Project in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and groundwater wells in Pleasanton.
Zone 7 Water Agency and Livermore Municipal Water are required to closely monitor all water supplies and provide water quality information to customers annually. Zone 7 Water Agency annual water quality reports can be found on their website.
