Livermore Library Programs
The Livermore Library offers free after school programs for youth at several of its recreation facilities. These programs offer a safe, fun, and positive environment where youth can participate in a variety of enrichment activities in a recreational setting.
Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) Programs
The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) offers summer camps, after school programs, and weekend activities through its seasonal recreation guide.
Livermore Area Youth Advisory Commission (LAYAC)
Do you want to learn more about your community and government? The City of Livermore presents growth opportunities for youth to become involved in the community and learn about City government through participation in a volunteer advisory commission. The Livermore Area Youth Advisory Commission brings together private and public sectors of the community to address responsibility for the care, health, safety, welfare, and education of Livermore's young people.
The Commission promotes youth involvement in the Livermore community and communication between City leadership and the young people of the City. It creates a forum for ideas and concerns, and provides a vehicle for concerns and interests of youth to be communicated to the City Council.
Career Exploration for Teens
The City of Livermore offers two exploration programs for teens to learn more about careers in public safety. Additional opportunities for youth career training can be found on the Livermore Library website.
Local Youth Training and Engagement Programs

Field Trips & Tours
The City of Livermore offers tours of its facilities to schools and local organizations. These tours allow students and chaperones to learn more about their community and how cities function.
In-Class Educational Programs
The City of Livermore offers in-class visits from its librarians and water resources professionals. These programs are offered to Livermore teachers free of charge. Teachers may also request free educational materials focused on a variety of water topics.
