AVANCE - About the Project
MidPen Housing in partnership with the City of Livermore, developed 44 units of affordable, accessible housing for persons with developmental disabilities. The development is comprised of studios and 1‐bedroom units, with one 3‐bedroom living space located within an historic home on the property which was rehabilitated and dedicated to an on‐site resident manager.
Avance will have a service approach to assist residents to maintain stable housing and provide an opportunity for residents to become more socially and economically independent. There will be a MidPen Service Coordinator on-site that will assist residents to access community-based services, including paratransit for day programs, medical appointments, or employment. MidPen Resident Services will also work with the Regional Center of the East Bay assist residents to obtain individualized program plans for Independent Living Skills, Case Management Support, adult education, and advocacy.
The development is also located within a half mile of the LAVTA Wheels 15 Bus, grocery/pharmacy services, and within a mile of the public library, and medical clinics.

VINEYARD - About the Project
Housing Consortium of the East Bay (HCEB), in partnership with the City of Livermore, is
developing 24 units of affordable, accessible housing for very low and extremely low-income
households with histories of homelessness. The development will be comprised
of studios and 1‐bedroom units, with one 2‐bedroom unit dedicated to an on‐site
Resident Manager.
The development includes a 10,000 square foot commercial space consisting of a commercial kitchen, dining room, and Homeless Resource Center.
The kitchen and dining room is operated by Open Heart Kitchen, serving hot meals 5‐
7 days/week for Livermore’s homeless and low‐income neighbors.
The Homeless Resource Center provides the following services: Showers; Laundry
Machines; Health Clinic; Mailboxes; Mental Health Services; and Case Management.
The property is a 5‐minute walk from downtown Livermore, with services, groceries,
employment opportunities, recreational activities, and public transportation in close
proximity.

Chestnut Square
Chestnut Square is a mixed-income, multi-generational residential development of 114 affordable senior and family rental units and 44 market-rate for-sale housing townhomes. MidPen Housing will build and operate the two affordable apartment complexes, Chestnut Square Senior and Chestnut Square Family.
CHESTNUT SENIOR - About the Project
Chestnut Senior welcomed residents to the 72 affordable studio and 1-bedroom apartments in September 2019. Currently, Chestnut Square Senior waitlist is open. To be placed on the waitlist please call the Leasing Office directly at (925) 532-1601.
CHESTNUT FAMILY - About the Project
Chestnut Square Family is the second phase of a mixed-income intergenerational community in the heart of the City’s North Side district, close to shopping, transit, and restaurants. Along with recently completed Chestnut Square Senior Housing, which provides 72 affordable rental apartments for seniors, Chestnut Square Family is 42 affordable rental apartments for families with shared courtyards, community gardens, and a BBQ area.
Ten (10) of the 42 units at Chestnut Square Family have been set aside for formerly homeless households, and supportive services for those residents will be available. There will also be 8 units with a preference for adult individuals with disabilities. All residents will have access to Family Services programming, including an after school program for youth ages K-6 in a dedicated classroom space onsite. Chestnut Family was completed in late 2020.
