Are you Storm Ready? storm

While there is no way to be certain about the severity of this winter's storms, residents can be more prepared and participate in reducing flooding risks.

  • Help reduce the risk of flooding on City roads by putting leaves and other yard debris in your green waste container.
    • The City of Livermore provides a Leaf Pick-Up program which starts the week after Thanksgiving and ends by mid February.
    • The leaves are picked up one day before the regularly scheduled street sweeping day.
      • For instance: if the street is scheduled to be swept on Thursday, the leaves will be picked up on Wednesday.
      • If the scheduled pick-up day is not sufficient, residents can also put the leaves in bags and call (925) 960-8020.
  • Understand the risks specific to the City of Livermore.
  • Is your property, child's school, or another important location in a floodplain?
    • Determine which properties are located in an area subject to flooding with the City of Livermore Floodplain Map below.
