Here at the City of Livermore, we are proud to serve such a vibrant community and are working diligently to maintain and enhance Livermore's image as a great place to live, work and play!

Below are some highlights of some of our efforts:

Investing in Quality of Life 

Learn about investments in the City’s infrastructure, including sidewalk repair, water conservation, bike and trail connections, and other projects that enhance the community’s well-being and create a thriving future.

Livermore Asset Management Program - The City owns, operates, and maintains over $3 billion worth of public infrastructure. This includes streets, sidewalks, traffic signals, streetlights, parks, storm drains, water system, and more.

Capital Improvement Plan - The City's CIP, or Capital Improvement Plan, is a strategic roadmap outlining investments and projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure, facilities and public services to improve the overall quality of life for community members.

Climate Action Plan - The City adopted its Climate Action Plan (CAP) in November 2022. The 2022 CAP is a roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to extreme weather, deploy reliable and renewable energy, conserve habitat and biodiversity, and ensure equitable access to the benefits of a sustainable city.

Code Enforcement Program - The City has a robust program in place to keep Livermore beautiful. Graffiti abatement, removal of abandoned shopping carts, and other code enforcement issues are a community-wide effort. Community members can report these types of issues and City staff work hard to proactively maintain the City's aesthetic. COMING SOON - the new Livermore Connect mobile and desktop application that allows community members to report non-emergency issues with just a few clicks.

Community-Oriented Public Safety - The City is committed to maintaining a safe and vibrant community and educating and engaging community members on important safety-related topics. With a focus on talent development and modern technology, the Livermore Police Department is taking important steps to offer the Livermore community an exceptional quality of life with the mission of Service with Honor, Protection with Purpose.

Building Community Spaces 

Learn about new projects to create inspiring and inclusive spaces to connect with neighbors and enhance Livermore's unique character.

Notable Projects - The City is committed to ensuring new development is high quality, appropriately designed, and follows all applicable local, state, and federal laws. There are a number of notable projects that are larger in scale or of strong interest to the Livermore community as a whole.

Downtown Livermore Development - Downtown development continues, with construction of the L Street Parking Garage currently underway and the expansion of Blacksmith Square up next. 

Springtown Open Space Improvements - The City has started the process to implement amenities that were identified in the 2017 Open Space Concept Plan. The first phase would include a community garden, an active play zone, a multipurpose field, a pickleball court, shaded benches, a picnic area and a disc golf course.
