The dumping of waste such as oil, furniture, appliances, trash, litter, or landscape cuttings, etc., upon any public right-of-way (sidewalks, roadsides, streets, parks, etc.) without the consent of the property owner is illegal.

To Report an Illegal Dumping

If the illegal dumping is on public or private property which you do not own, complete a service request or call Neighborhood Preservation at 925-960-4444.

If the illegal dumping is on private property which you own, you are encouraged to make a police report for tracking purposes. You are also required to remove the illegal dumping as soon as possible.

If You Observe Illegal Dumping In-Progress

Do not contact the subjects yourself; and call Livermore Police Department dispatch at 925-371-4987 to report the crime.

Violations

Violators will be subject to citation and penalties per LMC 1.20 and/or the California Penal Code.
