The Railroad Avenue Street Improvements Project (#2021-16) includes a number of improvements on Railroad Avenue between the Livermore Valley Parking Garage and K Street. These improvements will support the Downtown Specific Plan by widening the street, extending turn lanes, replacing the sewer, installing crosswalks, modifying traffic signals, upgrading ramps, adding landscape medians, and resurfacing and restriping the road. Specific improvements include:

• Widening Railroad Avenue between North Livermore Avenue and the Livermore Valley Parking Garage to extend the turning lane into the parking garage. 
• Extending the left turn lane from Railroad Avenue onto southbound North Livermore Avenue.
• Modifying traffic signals at Railroad Avenue & North Livermore Avenue.
• Upgrading curb ramps at Railroad Avenue & North Livermore Avenue.
• Modifying traffic signals at Railroad Avenue and Livermore Valley Parking Garage.
• Replacing sewer line on Railroad Avenue west of North Livermore.
• Installing a new crosswalk across Railroad Avenue at K Street.
