Arroyo Las Positas frequently floods Las Positas Golf Course causing damage to the pond, irrigation system, access road, parking lot, and airport tarmac. Significant damage was caused in recent storms and the goal of this project is to mitigate future damage by increasing the capacity of Arroyo Las Positas by removing silt deposits.

Project Schedule and Status

Current Status: This project is currently under design with 65% of the design completed. Environmental documents and regulatory permits have been initiated. Construction of the first phase the project, which includes the floodwall and raising the pedestrian bridge, may begin in summer 2025, depending on permit approval.

Project Design: Expected to be complete April 2025.

Project Construction: Expected to start June 2025.
