This project will enhance safety, accessibility, and mobility for all ages and abilities and rebalance the roadway between various modes of travel encouraging safer pedestrian and bicycle activities. The project will include:

Crossing enhancements & improvements along East Avenue,
buffered bike lanes,
signing and striping,
lighting, and
sidewalk improvements.

Project Schedule and Status

Current Status: Phase 1 and Phase 2 study complete. Scheduling City Council briefings in December and January 2025 to report results. Recommendations include implementing lighting improvements, minor modifications to bulb outs and pedestrian measures, and bypass bike route in 2025. Applied for grant to help fund lighting.

Project Design: Expected to be complete July 2025.

Project Construction: Expected to start November 2025.
