REGISTRATION IS FULL for the special "Birding by Ear Hike" on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at Sycamore Grove Park, located at 1051 Wetmore Road, with Livermore Area Park and Recreation District (LARPD).

This guided hike, led by an experienced park ranger from LARPD, offers participants a unique opportunity to enjoy the morning tranquility of Sycamore Grove Park while learning to identify birds by their sounds and signs. It will be an easy hike lasting approximately two hours, making it accessible for adults of all fitness levels.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, bring sun protection, and stay hydrated by bringing water. Binoculars are highly recommended for this event, and those who do not own a pair can conveniently check out binoculars from the Livermore Public Library's Library of Things collection.
