Livermore Police’s Community Police Academy starts on Wednesday, August 21. The class will run 13 weeks and meets every Wednesday from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. until Graduation on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Participants will receive presentations on various roles within LPD and dynamics of the Law Enforcement profession. Some topics included are Patrol Procedures, De-Escalation and Use of Force, Dispatch, Records, Traffic, Horizons Family Counseling, Investigations, and much more! Participants will also be offered a Scenario/Demonstration Day, Patrol ride-a-long and Dispatch sit-a-long, and a tour of the police facility.
